About Marketing Brief

Marketing news, without the noise.

We started Marketing Brief because most marketing content is either too shallow to act on, or too bloated to finish reading. So we write short, specific breakdowns on SEO, social, and paid — the kind you can actually use before your next campaign.

Why we exist

Every week, something changes — an algorithm update, a new ad format, a platform policy nobody reads until it breaks their campaign. Most of that noise doesn't matter to the person actually running the account.

Marketing Brief filters it down. No listicles, no "50 tools you need," no recycled roundups. Just the handful of changes worth your attention each week, explained by people who've run the campaigns themselves — and the reasoning behind what to do about them.

We publish across three areas: organic search, social platforms, and paid acquisition — because in practice, the best marketers don't work in just one lane.

What we cover

Three beats, written with the same standard: specific, current, and something you can act on today.

SEO

Core updates, ranking shifts, technical fixes, and what's actually changed in how search works — not theory, not guesses.

Google Ads / PPC

Bid strategy changes, new campaign types, account structure, and the small adjustments that move CPA and ROAS.

How we write

01

Specific over general

Every piece names the exact change, the exact platform, and the exact action — not vague trends.

02

Written by practitioners

We write from campaigns we've actually run, not secondhand summaries of someone else's post.

03

Short by default

If it can be said in 400 words, it's 400 words. Your time matters more than our word count.

04

No pay-to-play coverage

We don't cover a tool or platform because they sponsored us. Coverage is earned by relevance, not budget.
